After a record number of proposals at Paris 2024 just a few weeks ago, we are now beginning to see the first few proposals at the Paralympics.
Triathlete Lionel Morales Gonzalez kicked it off on August 29, deciding to pop the question to his girlfriend Jessica just outside the Paralympic Village dining hall.
A second proposal was done the next day on the courts, with Brazilian badminton player Rogerio Junior Xavier de Oliveira pulling out a sign and a ring box after his latest match.
The sign read: “Edwarda Will You Marry Me?”
It was directed to his girlfriend, fellow Paralympian and volleyball player Edwarda Dias.
