    THE GOOD NEWS:
    Acceptable Looking Better Date Low Grade Coin. Not alot I can say about this coin because it's a lower grade, but it does full the album hole of a harder date to find. Nice clear Mint Mark. The date shows well enough to tell it is an 1897-S. Low mintage of 542,229. Please bid with confidence because I stand behind what I sell.
    THE BAD NEWS:
    Cleaned long ago. If you view the coin in just the right lighting at just the right angle you can see some hairlines. Keep in mind this is a low grade coin intended to fill the 97-S Album hole. Low grade coins often have issues. Most coins have flaws, it's just a matter of what is acceptable for the grade. Still a very pleasing coin.
