Description
1904 Louisiana's Invitation: Resources, Possibilities, and Advantages of the Queen of Southern States Softcover Book. From what we found online, it was printed to market the state of Louisiana by theLouisiana State Commission for the Louisiana Purchase Exposition in 1904. Measures about 5.25" x 8", with 128 pages. Includes many illustrations and photographs of workers picking cotton, farmers watching livestock, and other resources available to those wanting to locate in the state. No copyright was found in the booklet, but there is a section on the changes to the state's constitution in 1898. In acceptable or better vintage condition. The reason why we are grading it this was is because the front cover has torn off (but is included) and the back cover is half gone (see photos). Otherwise, this would be good + or better, because inside the pages are yellowed from age but have no handwriting or other noticed damage.
This will be sent inside a plastic sleeve and attached to cardboard to help protect it from postal damage.
Please see photos for more details :-)
And now- Roadypig’s Ebay policy and disclaimer stuff :-)
We will combine multiple purchases if possible to save both of us on shipping- just send an email to let us know you are still shopping, and when you are done , we will send you
a invoice with the shipping discount!
Please study the pictures and description before bidding or purchasing , and ask questions if you are unclear about anything. Be sure the item is what you want before purchasing, because we do not take returns EXCEPT through the eBay return system. All items sold as is. We are not experts in any field. We find interesting things in yard and estate sales, and pass them along to you. We do a little internet research and describe things as best we can, but you probably know more about the item than we do. You decide the quality and value. Please let me know if we have incorrectly described or identified the item.
We do not sell using “free shipping” (except for an occasional light paper item that we can slip into a first class envelope for a single stamp)- we would rather sell you items for the best price, and only charge you for our actual shipping costs. Please compare our full price including shipping to what other sellers are asking with “free” shipping- we strive to have the best total price :-)
We buy most of our items from estate sales and other outside sources, so we can not promise you that an item comes from a “smoke free” home. We try very hard to make sure anything we sell is clean and does not contain odors , but if you are an individual who is extra-sensitive to any odor please contact us before purchasing.
We always post as many photos as possible to give you the views you need to see any describe flaws, and to help you decide if the item for sale is right for you. We DO NOT use "stock" photos- what you see in the photos is what we will be sending to you.
We often pack our sales in clean, recycled boxes and packing materials. It’s a little way to keep these items out of the landfill for another use, and helps keep our prices as low as possible :-)
Non-payment after 72 hours from the end of any listing (without any contact from a buyer) are turned into the eBay resolution center. We don’t like to do this, but eBay gets their payment from the sale from us, even if we don’t get paid by the buyer, if we don’t turn it in as unpaid.
USPS and PayPal only.
Thank You For Looking!
We take our payments through the eBay managed payment system- whatever methods they allow you to use to pay with are fine with us :-)
