    Description

This is a Good-6 example of the scarce 1913 s Barber Quarter. With a mintage of just 40,000 it is much lower than even the 1916 Standing Liberty Quarter. This coin does have some minor reverse damage which is a small gouge located on the last star to the right, as shown in the pic. The mark was worn in so it was obviously circulated after it happened. In hand without the benefit of magnification it is scarcely noticeable. ICG may not be your choice of Grading Services, but like PCGS and NGC they do guarantee authenticity with a fast turnaround, which is the reason I chose to have this coin slabbed. Much like the 1901 quarter, altered 1913 plain quarters with an added "s" mintmark do exist.
