Description
Up for sale are theConstitutions and By-Laws for two premier and historical yacht clubs, both headquartered in New York City-
--t
he New York Yacht Club and the Columbia Yacht Club. The New York Yacht Club was organized in 1844 and incorporated in 1865. The Columbia Yacht Club was organized in 1867 and incorporated in 1885.
Both of these clubs' constitutions and by-laws were published in the 1935
Yachtsman's Guide, and that's what we're selling in this listing.
Eight pages of New York by-laws and 5+ pages of Columbia by-laws that detail things like duties of officers, membership rules, committees, meetings, uniforms, flags and signals, annual regatta, and much more.
Each page measures about 6 x 9" and all are in very good condition, with a few occasional dog-eared corners or tiny edge nicks, but all complete and totally readable. These pages were removed from the 1935 Yachtman's Guide, so the pages show where the staples were and the pages are loosely bound.
