    Description

    Hello!
Up for sale is an amazing tube amp by Lafayette !
This is the amplifier that most amps from today wish they were !
Simple layout .... input jack, volume and tone controls, as well as a knob to turn on/off and increase/decrease tremolo effect !
But what it lacks in unnecessary "features," it makes up in what really matters .... the SOUND !
Turn it on, plug in your guitar and start strumming chords as soon as the valves warm up, and you can immediately HEAR how sweet this amplifier is to the ears. (It also helps to have it elevated as close to ear level as possible ... really spotlights how great this unit sounds!)
Turn the amp up, and it starts to overdrive in a very pleasing way, all the way to that full on 60's crunch when the volume control is turned up high or all the way ! But roll off your guitar's volume knob and/or lighten up your picking attack and your signal cleans up super nicely .... checking off all the boxes of what you would expect from a high quality tube amp !
Takes pedals well, too! We tested it with an Ibanez nutube tubescreamer (soon to be listed in our ebay store!) and they married very well in the sonic arena !
A responsive tone knob allows you to tailor your sound even further !
And the onboard tremolo adds delicious pulsating modulation to your available tonal palette .... ranging from very slow and subtle (consider keeping it on all the time, or at least for an entire song!) to an all out speedy and fluttering effect that adds dramatic flavor to the story you are trying to communicate with this terrific little box!
Jensen special design speaker completes the beautiful path your signal takes before it hits your ears ... molded and blended nicely with this wonderful, compact machine. (But don't let the medium size fool you ... this baby is LOUD!)
We have done some limited service to the amp by spraying out the inputs with compressed air as well as cleaning out the tube sockets to the best of our ability. The tubes look old, and it wouldn't hurt to replace them further down the road. But they seem to work and sound quite nice currently, especially considering how old they look ! No crackling or popping that I can hear ! The future lucky buyer might also want to seriously consider having the potentially dangerous 2 prong cord replaced with a much safer 3 prong cord. Also, the "aux" and "acc" inputs don't seem to work when I plug a guitar into them. I don't know if they need the correct instrument with appropriate balance and/or if someone disconnected them. We would have priced this amp higher if not for the reality (expected of an old tube amp) of future servicing and maintenance.
Nevertheless, grab this wonderful valve amplifier before someone in the know snags it for themselves !
Please read the condition description, these listing details and examine the pictures carefully.
Thanks so much for your interest and I hope you buy it now!!!!!
