1968 Sunn 2000s Amp. Rarest Version! No Bass Boost Switch and Dynaco Block Trans.
This is the rarest of rare 2000s ever with Dynaco block transformer and no bass to switch. You won’t find another one it is one of two that I have seen in my lifetime without the base boost switch!
Amp it’s fitted with vintage Tong-Sol 6550 Tube’s. And Mullard, snd Mazda rectifiers.
The cost of the vintage tubes alone was over 00 and well worth it for the best tone ever!
Amplifier was also recently gone over by Mitch Colby aka Jimmy Pages amplifier maker and technician.
Mitch gave the Amp a clean bill of health and went through everything and installed and Biased the NOS Vintage TONG-SOL tubes
The amplifier sounds beyond phenomenal!
I’m a big fan of the Dynaco block versions which with the rarest and earliest versions and hardest to find.
The cabinet pictured is not in this auction it is available in another auction on my list.
Dynaco Block 2000s SUNN’s are seldom scene they both sound good Pacific transformer or Dynaco, but just seeing that large Dynaco block transformer is really incredible.
I know that’s what Felix Pappalardi had in his amplifier in Mountain. Felix had both Dynaco and Pacific transformer versions.
