Electric Guitar Combo Amplifier
Used - Good Condition
Music Man kicked off production in the mid-'70s as a collaboration between Leo Fender and two former Fender employees. The firm initially offered a lineup of guitars, basses and amps which most notably included the now iconic StingRay Bass. In 1974, the company started producing its first product, an amplifier designed by Leo Fender and Tom Walker called the "Sixty Five," a hybrid of tube and solid-state technology that players characterized as "loud as hell." This hefty sounding is from the Music Man era featuring a single 12AX7 preamp tube used for the phase inverter stage of the amp, sometime in 1977 the preamp section was completely solid-state. Though Music Man amps are associated with one of the most well known figures in musical instrument design, they never quite could match the tone or success of Fender's amps. Despite this, there were some important players of that time who used Music Man amps such as Eric Clapton, Johnny Winter, and Albert Lee.
