1986 CAL 33.2 Shoal draft
This well-cared for 1986 Cal 33-2 is being offered for sale by a knowledgeable owner who has completed several major updates. Vessel is reluctantly being sold due to becoming full time liveaboard cruisers and need more room. The Cal 33-2 is a unique blend of performance and comfort. This Cal 33-2 is a well maintained example and is ready to sail anywhere. The Cal 33-2 has a wide open feeling below with two double berths located at opposite ends of the boat, this much room below is usually only for 38+ft Vessels. The aft double berth is open to the main salon with opening ports in the hull and cockpit allowing air to circulate. Forward is a double cabin, large v-berth with plenty of foot and shoulder room, there are drawers, alcoves and shelves plus storage under the berth. To starboard of the passageway leading from the forward cabin to the main salon is a large head compartment with shower. Opposite is a hanging locker. Vessel had a complete bottom sandblasting and 6 coat barrier coat in 2017. Bottom has been sanded painted every 2 years. The current installed rudder has water penetration as found in last bottom job, A brand new rudder from Foss foam (oem rudder maker) comes with the vessel and has not been installed. Vessel also has led color changing lights in front v berth and aft cabin (remote controlled) Was planning to install next bottom job next summer. Batteries are 2017 trojans.
