    Description

    Fine solid sterling silver Catholic medal for baby. Partly obscured by heavy tarnish, medal is a sweet image of a Guardian Angel holding the hand of a child. One-sided round medal.
    Medal is
    just 1/4" across. Hangs on a bar pin that can be attached to baby's crib, bedding, or clothes.  Both pin and medal are stamped "Sterling Chapel" on the back. Measures 7/8" from top of bar to bottom of medal. Total weight 1.7 grams.
    Estimated vintage 1900 to 1930s by the style, wear, and heavy patina on the medal.
    The pin is bright and unused, but with a damaged catch. See condition statement above.
