OLD IKAT SARONG FLORES
In the 1980s I started collecting ikats from India & Indonesia & I have decided to reduce my collection but now I have very few left, in fact I think this is the last one of the seventy five I once owned!. Most of the Flores & Sabu ikats are around 30 to 70 years old, many outstanding & in perfect condition some with a few places of wear. This large old handwoven cotton ikat sarong is from Flores, & has bird motifs, & has a couple of worn parts . It is 64" x 27" doubled over & is excellent over a table, or the back of a sofa or on display on a wall, or it could be worn, .
