    p for sale is this beautiful Art Deco styled footed silverplate compote. On its own, this is a beautiful and ornate piece of silverplate, every bit of detail is fantastic. But this piece is unique with the logo for the Great South Bay Yacht Racing Association of Long Island. There is no date or specific award mentioned, so I do t know if this was a presentation piece or just a candy dish they used, but it is definitely antique. The hallmarks on the bottom attribute it to the Derby Silver Company, which was bought out by the International Silver Company, both of Connecticut. It measures about 9 5/8" across, and 3 1/2" tall, not including the handle. I haven't attempted to remove the tarnish or shine it up, otherwise it shows just general wear and use, no dents or fractures.
