    Description

    A strip of four unused California Bill Of Lading State Tax stamps 0,000/0. Printed on very thin flimsy pale blue paper. I believe these are from circa 1860 or so and were for tax on merchandise carried by ships. Very scarce in this high denomination. Paper a bit age toned else slight wear.
