    Description

Change the look of an old pillow, give new life to a faded awning, or make a dull rug a fun new hue - the possibilities are endless for you to Spray it New!
Color Shot works great on your indoor and outdoor upholstery needs.  This revolutionary fabric paint is permanent and will not peel or rub off once the dye has set (72 hours). Color Shot does not require heat, and is great for use on interior and exterior surfaces. So don’t throw your favorite piece away - Spray it New with this miracle in a can!
Remember when choosing your colors that our paint absorbs into the fabric instead of sitting on top of it (which is why it dries soft), so you'll need to pick a color that is darker than your fabric. Basically, you can paint a tan couch brown, but you cannot paint a brown couch tan.  Since our paint is not opaque, the base color can influence the final color, so we recommend you stay within the same color family, or choose a very dark color, such as black or charcoal.  Always remember to test a small area first to make sure you like what you see!
For even coverage, we recommend spraying a few lighter coats instead of one heavy coat, allowing each coat to dry completely (about 30 minutes).  To get the most usage from your can, we recommend spraying a THIN coat first and allowing it to dry for 20 minutes. This thin coat will act as a "primer" and subsequent full coats can adhere and give you even, consistent coverage while using less paint.
The more absorbent your fabric, the more paint it will need, so make sure that you order enough to achieve the exact color you are looking to obtain.
If you'd like more information on a color before purchasing, please send us a message. We want you to be satisfied, so if the color arrives, and it's not what you were expecting, just send us back the unopened can for a full refund.
    Here are a few
    guidelines
to the amount of paint required for most projects. Please keep in mind that these are only
    estimates
and the actual amount of paint you will need varies depending on the size of your project, the type of fabric (how absorbent it is), and how many coats you intend to apply.
Works on natural (absorbent) and synthetic (non-absorbent) fabrics
Applies evenly with no drips or splatters
Richly pigmented color that won’t rub off on clothing
Dries quickly and soft to the touch
Allows the weave of the fabric to show for a more natural appearance. Ergonomic spray pump reduces hand fatigue and increases spray control. Coverage area for one can is 1 square yard (when using 2 light coats)
Use in a well-ventilated area. Always test first in an inconspicuous area for best results.
Thoroughly clean and dry fabric to ensure it is free of lint and oils.
Mask off surrounding areas to protect from overspray.
Shake can well for at least one minute. Hold can 6-8” away from fabric and spray with smooth, even strokes.
Apply one coat at a time, waiting 5 minutes between coats. Add additional coats to achieve desired color and intensity.
    Let dry 72 hours.
Turn can upside down after use and spray for 5 seconds to prevent clogging.
    Works best on light-colored fabrics.
Spray can turn a light fabric dark, but cannot turn a dark fabric to a lighter color.
    Two light coats are recommended.
Coverage area for one can is one-square yard (when using two light coats).
Apply light coats. Thicker applications will cause a stiffer end result.
Apply alternating coats in different directions to ensure full coverage (left to right, then top to bottom).
For hard-to-spray areas, first spray color onto a piece of foil and use a stiff brush to dab the fabric with color.
To clean sprayed material, use mild soap and water.
Hold can upright at no more than a 45-degree angle.
