    Rare and Early Javanese Wild Boar Shadow Puppet made from Thick Water Buffalo Hyde and Bamboo. Bamboo is not period. Measures 19.5" x 12" without stick. 18.5" tall w/ Bamboo. The Celeng, or Wild Boar was used in the telling of a classic Indonesian Fable through the use of Shadow Puppetry. Similar examples are mostly now in museums, making this beauty extremely rare.
