    Description

    Rare and Early Javanese Serpent Shadow Puppet made from Painted Water Buffalo Hyde and Bamboo. Bamboo may or may not be period. Measures 32.5" x 11" without stick. Bamboo measures 20". The Naga, or Serpent was used in the telling of a classic Indonesian Fable through the use of Shadow Puppetry. Condition shows years of use, as pictured. Similar examples are mostly now in museums, making this beauty extremely rare. Insurance included w/ Shipping Costs.
