The Friesland
a frigate, was a second rank vessel built around 1663, she was part of the great fleet of the United Provinces of Holland, which consisted of 1700 ships. She was outfitted with 80 guns.
In 1672, along side 77 other war ships and under the command of De Ruyter’s, who was on board the admiral ship "Zeven Provincen" it took part in the battle of Solebay with the allied Anglo French forces.
The model measures 37" long from bow to stern. It's a beautiful ship model that will be conversation piece for any room or office.
