Gold Medal Award Certificate, 1905 Lewis & Clark Exposition, RARE, Read ALL

Description

Certificate presented to the winner of a Gold Medal for display at the 1905 Lewis & Clark Expo in Portland, Oregon.  The award was presented to P. L. Traglio for "Decorations Throughout the Agricultural Building".  These certificates were given out to all medal winners, in addition to the traditional Bronze Medal.  The Bronze Medals could then be plated for the appropriate higher award classes (Gold/Silver), and/or engraved for the winner at their expense.  Overall size in the frame 20.5" by 26", original period gilt frame circa 1905-1910. Light wear to frame, certificate is sound, showing a slight bit of water staining at one corner (typical) and signs of the paper aging. Printing and graphics are all clear and legible, with no noticeable fading. I figure if you are looking at this listing, you have a pretty good idea of what you are looking at, so no further explanation needed.
