You are bidding on a computer designed/printed Greytcovers by W.J. Wladyka (USCS #9915) naval cover (design #220)(#4 of 13) commemorating the 20th anniversary of the commissioning of the USS Alaska SSBN-732.
USS Alaska (SSBN-732), is a United States Navy Ohio-class ballistic missile submarine which has been in commission since 1986. She is the fourth US Navy ship to be named for the Territory or State of Alaska.
The cover is cancelled with a well-struck pictorial postmark on 25 Jan. 2006 at Groton, CT 06340 and is franked with a Forever 'Purple Heart' stamp.
Overall cover condition is very good. The cover is a standard No. 6-3/4, 3-5/8 x 6-1/2". The blue around the edge is part of the background.
