    Description

You are bidding on a computer designed/printed Greytcovers by W.J. Wladyka (USCS #9915) naval cover (design #402)(#4/12) commemorating the decommissioning of the USS McClusky FFG-41.
USS McClusky (FFG-41) was a Oliver Hazard Perry-class frigate of the United States Navy. She was named for Rear Admiral C. Wade McClusky (1902–1976) who as a Lieutenant Commander led the air group of USS Enterprise, which sank the Japanese carriers Kaga and Akagi during the Battle of Midway. McClusky later served as part of Destroyer Squadron 1, and after 31 years of service, was decommissioned on 14 January 2015 at Naval Base San Diego.
The cover is cancelled with a well-struck pictorial postmark on 14 Jan. 2015 at San Diego, CA 92110 and is franked with a Forever 'Flag' stamp.
Overall cover condition is very good. The cover is a standard No. 6-3/4, 3-5/8 x 6-1/2". The blue around the edge is part of the background.
    I accept PAYPAL.
