H.M.S ENDEAVOR Sailboat Sail Ship Model Vintage Nautical Decor See Description.
I am selling this for a family member whose spouse recently relocated to a care facility. He collected ships for as long as I can remember (40-50 years) and they were displayed on a tall shelf that wrapped around the main level of his home. It was pretty dusty when I took down from the shelf and I tried to do a light dusting- it probably needs a detailed cleaning. I would not consider this to be a toy for a child-more of vintage display piece.
In my younger years (I’m now 55) he would take them down and tell stories about each one - he was military (navy) serving in World War II - he passed away in the early 90s and ever since they simply sat on that tall shelf. Sadly, I don’t remember the stories as I was not interested in sail boats. Lots of his collection was accumulated in the 60s/70s and 80s in my best guess.
Please review the pictures for measurements and condition, any flaws and use your knowledge of this type of ship as I am not familiar enough to determine if it has all of its parts/pieces. I just know it’s very old. It’s wood / with string? Thin twine? and canvas sails.
I have several of these vintage sail boats isted for sale.
Proceeds of this sale go towards the ongoing care of his surviving spouse who has relocated to an assisted living care center.
