This brand new 1" tall oval nickel silver medal from Italy has an updated image of this beloved saint; as the foster father of Jesus he is shown holding the young child Jesus in his arms.  On the back of the medal is a third class relic of St Joseph as a small bit of cloth securely encased in resin material on a red background; I really like the way these new relic medals are coming from Italy becaue the relic looks like it won't come off at all.
Being a third class relic of St Joseph means it was touched something he was very close to during his life; such as his robe, belt, or staff, all of which are still in existence.  There are no first class relics of St Joseph because his body is not to be found; Church stories and traditions suggests that he may actually have been assumed into Heaven like the Blessed Virgin Mary.  I guess no one is actually certain (yet another question to ask if I'm fortunate to go to Heaven). It is obvious that some items of St Joseph were lovingly preserved for the faithful, especially if his wife Mary had anything to do with it!   If you are like me and really love and admire St Joseph; this is a special relic to have.
Medal is securely attached to a 24" continuous stainless steel neckchain.  Comes gift boxed and with several different St Joseph prayer cards - including a card with a prayer for parents to St Joseph;  plus a gift bag and tissue paper.
The prayer cards which come with our rosaries, medals and pictures are home-made, created using a "greeting card" program on a computer and printed in full color on nice quality paper. Although they are not like the usual smaller professionally printed prayer cards, most of our customers prefer them since they are like a pamphlet with 4 "pages" and several images, prayers, patronages and often other information about the saint or Catholic devotion.
St Joseph is a wonderful role model for young men as well as being the patron saint of young single women; he is also a special friend and powerful helper to anyone, man or woman, who must work to support his or her family.  This is a great gift for Confirmation, First Communion, Graduation, Birthdays, or Stocking Stuffer!   A nice gift to give to your own father to show him your appreciation for his loving care and hard work.

Joseph is one of my favorite saints and the patron of many groups such as single women, families, expectant mothers, craftspeople, carpenters, construction workers, dying people, people who fight communism, immigrants, house hunters, confectioners, civil engineers, and against doubt and hesitation, single women, pregnant women, and more!  He must be a pretty busy saint and a great friend to have in any emergency!
