    O'Brien Tyrrell Pie Vent, Pie Bird, Handmade. Condition is New.
    This is a pie vent made by O’BrienTyrrell.  Each and every piece is wheel thrown by hand before addingdecorative elements to make them unique, but are made in a “loosely knitseries”.  This piece is a part of the "High Stack" series.  No commercial molds are ever used in the making process. O’Brien has been a studio potter for over 40 years and has received numerousawards on his work through the years, and has made pie birds and vents sincethe early 1990’s.  The vents are porcelain clay, fired to 2250°, and everyvent has O’Brien’s “makers mark” or “chop” near the top of this piece to insureartist recognition. This pie vent is 4 1/2 tall x 2 3/8 wide, and is Turquoise Celadon.
