    Description

    This listing is for an
Antique Souvenir of 52 + 1 Blue Back PLAYING CARDS DECK from the 1894 Midwinter California Exposition
.  There are about (14) Fair Scenes with the balance being scenic views of the West Coast.  Artists' initials on some cards of "C.G." perhaps for Charles Graham who did artwork for the 1893 Columbian and 1904 St. Louis World's Fairs.
These are the "Blue Back" version as there was a red one produced as well.  They were made by the Winters Art Litho Co. and the backs feature the state seals of California, Oregon and Washington.  Fair was held in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco.
The "+1" refers to an additional King of Hearts Card with a "Birds Eye View of Midwinter Fair" which is also on the Queen of Clubs!  The actual King of Hearts (included here) has the 'Administration Building.'  So why is there an extra King of Hearts with a view featured on another card?  There is a photo of all three cards so you can see what I'm talking about.
Rare and Hard-to-Find Deck of Playing Cards.  Please examine the photos for the best visual description of condition and ask questions if something is not clear.
