REFLECTIVE RED COPPER BU1901 SO-CALLED DOLLAR HK131 WASHINGTON AT BOSTON #E123

Description

HK131 1901 SCD the 125th anniversary of the Evacuation of Boston. This is a terrific reddish copper colored medal and the fields are highly reflective giving it a prooflike appearance when titlted to the light. Calling it prooflike overall is overstating but the fields are very bright and reflective and the illustration of Washington and his men on horseback as well as the very small detail in the foreground are all very sharp, and well struck. The design is very low relief so when wear does occur it shows quickly; this only reinforces the BU grade and how appealing the overall appearance is.
A generally under appreciated SCD and one that seems under priced in general. As akwats we are offering the medal at below standard retail. You can save quite easily with the Buy it Now price, but should you decide to bid you might really steal this piece if no one else (or even one or two folks) choose to bid.
