    Description

    Length: 53.75”
    Width: 2.625"
A striking yet understated piece of neckwear, a perfect complement to any dressed-up summer look. Crafted from lightweight silk and dyed in a soft powder red hue, it features a centrally-placed design typical of Midcentury ties in black brocade. 100% silk, made for and retailed by Rike-Kumler Co. (Rike’s) of Dayton, OH, c.1950s/1960s. Founded in 1852 and renowned for its Christmas displays, Rike’s department store served the Dayton area under its own name for 130 years before gradually disappearing through a spate of regional and national mergers. The downtown Dayton flagship store was imploded in 1999 to make way for the Benjamin and Marian Schuster Performing Arts Center. Excellent vintage condition.
