    A square-end Rooster tie decorated with an excerpt from a religious text in gothic blackletter, c.1960s. The attached newspaper ad showing this exact print is from 1965. 100% cotton, made in the USA by Rooster using hand-printed cloth from Sun Fabrics. Excellent vintage condition.
    Hess Brothers was a department store founded in Allentown, PA in 1897 by Charles and Max Hess; by the 1980s it had grown into a regional chain consisting of nearly 80 stores. By the 1990s the business was gone, its stores either closed or sold off to conglomerates.
