on 24" Chain
This 7/8" nickel silver medal from Italy with St Cayetano on the front and on the back are the words "Pan Y Trabano" ("Bread and Work").  Medal comes on a 24" stainless steel chain which is continuous, that is, it has no clasp. Fits over most size heads. This is a great length for the guys.  Comes gift boxed and with a St Cayetano prayer card, gift bag and tissue paper. (We also include a few other prayer cards of our choice so if you have a favorite saint or devotion let me know and I'll include that card(s) if I have it - or I'll make it for you!)
St Cayetano, also called Cajetan, is a 16th century Italian Catholic priest and religious reformer.  He lived an interesting life; attained a doctorate in law; worked as a diplomat in the Holy See; became a priest; was tortured during the sack of Rome by Spanish soldiers; founded a religious order to combine monasticism with active ministry.  He founded hospitals, and even founded a bank, which became the Bank of Naples, which was to give an alternative to poor people who previously had to use loan sharks.  He is the patron saint of gamblers, good fortune, job seekers, the unemployed, document controllers, and workers.
The prayer cards which come with our rosaries, medals and pictures are home-made, created using a "greeting card" program on a computer and printed in full color on nice quality paper. Although they are not like the usual smaller professionally printed prayer cards, most of our customers prefer them since they are like a pamphlet with 4 "pages" and several images, prayers, patronages and often other information about the saint or Catholic devotion.
