    Saint Jerome
    Holy Medal on Chain
    This medal has the name Saint "Gerome" which is a variation of the more common spelling of this great saint.
    The 7/8" nickel silver oval medal was made in Italy.  Medal comes attached to a 24" stainless steel continuous chain, which is easy to slip on and off over your head without worrying about any clasp breaking open (fits over most size heads!). Comes gift boxed and with a St Jerome prayer card, gift bag and tissue paper.
    St Jerome was a 4th century priest and theologian most well-known for his translation of the Bible into Latin, called the Vulgate.  He also wrote commentaries on the Bible and historical and theological writings.  He is the patron saint of archeologists, archivists, libraries, librarians, translators, students and Bible scholars.
    The prayer cards which come with our rosaries, medals and pictures are home-made, created using a "greeting card" program on a computer and printed in full color on nice quality paper. Although they are not like the usual smaller professionally printed prayer cards, most of our customers prefer them since they are like a pamphlet with 4 "pages" and several images, prayers, patronages and often other information about the saint or Catholic devotion.
