  • Condition: This is a vintage replica. Although there are a couple of sail tips that need to be reattached to the rigging strings, it is in very good condition for its age.

    Description

    This offering is for a wooden replica of the 1797 U.S.S. Constitution, a frigate most notable for service during the War of 1812. The Constitution retired from active service in 1881 but sailed under her own power for her 200th birthday in 1997.
    This replica measures 16" from end to end and stands 14" high. Sails are slightly discolored. You will see some dust on the deck. We used canned air to blow some of it off for picture taking purposes. We know nothing of the history other than the replica came from the estate of an
    octogenarian
    . Overall, the ship is in very good condition. We will pack very carefully and ship it insured to get her to you as safely as possible.
