    This brave vessel, commissioned in 1931, is seen at Shanghai, China in 1937 after an enemy
    land attack. She was the Asiatic Fleet flagship and returned to the Atlantic in 1941.
    The ship
    transported President Roosevelt to the Atlantic Charter meeting with Churchill and
    shelled
    the enemy held shoreline at Normandy in 1944.
    The cover was prepared on a un-gummed, archive quality envelope.
