This poster has been reprinted FREQUENTLY as it is so iconic.  Has everything going for it.
This, however, is a very rare original.
Basically it was to be displayed at a railroad station to urge people to take the train to see the 1958 World's Fair in Brussels.  What could be easier and more fun?
The 1958 world's fair was the first after the 2nd world's war.  It was filled with optimism and forward looking.  This poster featured a rough model of an ATOM.  There remains a structure at the site to this day.....
The paper it is printed on is tissue thin.  This was not meant for framing and display this was meant to be plastered on some horizontal surface until it was covered by something else.
The fact that it has survived is very very surprising.
I consulted with a conservator and they said the only thing that could be done was to mount it on board.  It was too fragile for anything else and it was the only way to get what remained to sit flat.  So you will never be able to take it off?  But that was never going to happen anyway
It is missing a few chunks (pictured) and has prominent folds but ALL THINGS CONSIDERED is in pretty good shape.  The colors are vibrant and the image is clear.
This poster is a call back to a certain time and place.  The graphics are amazing.  You will likely never see another like this.  It may be one of a kind.  ENJOY
